HEAD ONCOLOGY NURSE
Jentrix Namukosi has a ten-year experience in nursing. A Nairobi Hospital’s Cicely McDonnell School of Nursing trained nurse, who also has a training in oncology nursing, Jentrix brings with her immense expertise to Texas Cancer Centre.
Before joining TCC in, Jentrix had been practicing oncology nursing part time.
Compared to the few numbers of professionals who are drawn to the practice of oncology, Jentrix, went ahead to enroll to study oncology nursing in 2010. This was driven by an insatiable need to offer specialized fulltime service and care to the growing number of patients.
At Texas, Jentrix is a nurse manager who not only takes care of patients but also coordinates the team of 27 nurses at the facility to ensure patient care is enhanced. This includes follow-up visits for admitted patients and those who are at home.
From the team, five nurses handle outpatient care while the rest are stationed to care for inpatients as well as homecare follow-ups.
